Don't Need Nothing..But a Good Time!

What else do you need for a good time? The House of Blues (AWESOME!), a Mavs playoff game (Rollercoaster), and the way to end the night, the Mav's Maniacs (a great way to get happy after defeat). The definition of a good time!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

This is the Ninjas' first t-ball game of the season. It was so much fun! Both boys came home with dirty knees (from all the diving for balls, even when they were not in their direction). We are so proud of them. Go Ninjas!!!!

Now if I didn't laugh, I might just cry!

After the storm last night, I grabbed my camera and got busy. I was running around our street snapping shots (all shown below) in the rain with my camera like a nerd. Most of our neighbors had me come snap shots of their houses and mounds of hail. It made me feel like a storm tracker...except after the storm. After the sun went down, I was left wet, cold, and eager to blog. Just call me Rebecca Miller! I'd like to dedicate this post to Susan who said it would not be nerdy but funny. At least I can laugh about the clean-up tomorrow... instead of cry.

More Pics From the Storm

No that's not snow...it is the most hail I've ever seen! Be sure to click on the pics to see up close. They are amazing!!!!
My poor flower beds, not to mention my trees at the entry. They look like someone with a chainsaw has gotten a hold of them.

This was my Dwarf Magnolia tree. It had some really pretty buds andblooms. Not anymore!!!
Bad lighting, but you could not tell where the lawns ended and driveways began. All the leaves are now on the pavement!

Just a few more shots from Thursday night. Amazing that some one mile away did not see this kind of hail!

A Storm Like None I've Ever Seen!

This is our front porch looking out of the door. You can't tell but the base of these flower pots are covered by water and hail. You can't see our steps at all!
This stump is about knee high, and you can see how much is covered.
This is one of the hailstones from outside our door. This is a nickel, but some were much larger!
Our neighbor Jim and Donna asked me to take this picture to show the mound of hail that had been blown on thier porch. Some mounds looked waist high.
Hard to tell, but the bottom 2 panes were busted out of our upstairs window; glad we have double pane!!!!

It's amazing what can happen in a short amount of time. I turned on the tv to watch Wheel of Fortune, and found the caption "Tornado Warning, Weatherford in the Path". And shortly after that we were watching clouds whirl and twirl. Our neighbors even climbed their roof to watch. We ended up in the bathroom during by far the"worst" hail storm I've ever witnessed. I snapped some pics of the aftermath.

Papaw and Uncle Jerry have a farm, E-I-E-I-O!

Ok, so I had to include both dad and Jerry. The goats and horse are at Jerry's. The ducks and dog are dad's. Plus, the gator is dad's but Jerry was giving the rides.....I'm just trying to give credit where credit is due! We went to see the fam on Saturday and I decided to take my camera. The every-day-things are blog-worthy too!!! Uncle Jerry took the kids on a crash coarse in driving the "squash buggy". But when I'm behind the wheel, I like to keep it that way. Your a good sport uncle bubba!

Go Rangers!!!!

A Night At the Ballpark

Good friends, good food, perfect weather, free hats.....what more could you ask for? Actually, it would have been nice for the Rangers to have actually won, but who would have thought they ever would. Like Bryan says, "You never go with the expectation of a win. You go for the hotdogs, peanuts, and to just hang out". Boy was he right. We had great seats, but moved up a bit so that we could have more room to stretch out and visit. The Rangers actually rallied back at the bottom of the 9th, but they were no match. However, the boys had a blast. Hayden was overjoyed at counting airplanes that passed over the ballpark, and Quinn and Bryan sang a few rounds of "Bear Necessities". It was a blast!!!!

I'm in the "Sickly Mint" Club- AKA 66 Club

Look at Bub! He did it! He is an official member of the 66 club! Check out his new Bible. It is not yellow, but nevertheless wonderful!!

That's My Doggies

Look at my girls! Stinky, rotten, and all doggie! They've eaten drywall, siding, power cords, and wedding bands. But somehow, we love them. Ode to Katy and Roxy- Even though you drool and smell, you're our baby girls!
