Halloween 2008

Buddies

Jaxon, Hayden, and Elijah

Grandpa Hayden

This is Hayden's picture for Grandparent's Day. What a cute little old man!

Ode to Nusery Rhymes

Quinn's Kindergarten class presented their favorite nursery rhymes. Quinn chose "Hey Diddle Diddle" and of course, he was the "Cat and the Fiddle". He remembered it like a champ!

"Hayden Has the Closing Prayer" twice!

Hayden had the job of closing prayer during chapel one day. The PreK class even got to stay and conduct chapel for the highschool class, during which he said "Thank you God for the big kids". I know as a mother, we tend to think our kids are the cutest. But look at these pictures. They are just proof that Mr. Hayden is pretty darn cute, especially when he prays!!!

Hayden's trip to the Firestation

Hayden's class took a trip to the firestation. They even let the kids "drive" the firetrucks. Look how big he looks!

Field trip to see the Dinosaurs

Travis joined Hayden for his field trip to the Dino Land in Glen Rose. Looks like they had a good time!

Visiting baby Taylor

On Labor Day, we went to visit baby Taylor. Quinn loves the little babies!

Puppy-Dog Sitting

The boys loved doggie-sitting Miss Cloie. I'm glad we can borrow a cute little doggie to love on!

Look who's the newest member of the 66 club!

Hayden became one of the two first new members to be initiated into the 66 club at school for saying all 66 books of the Bible. He is standing next to his buddy, Alexis. I'm thinking she may be his new girl friend before long!! Congrats Bubba!

Moudy Boys conquer the 1st Day of School at WCS!

They were geared up and ready to go! Travis took them to eat at the donut shop and then brought them to school where he took these fab photos. Good job dad!

Hayden's first day of PreK with Mrs. Rachel

Hayden has the legend, Mrs. Rachel this year. He is so excited to be so big!

Quinn's first day of Kindergarten with Laci (Mrs. Thomason)

Quinn has been so excited to be in Laci's class. He is going to try his best to call her "Mrs. Thomason".

American Idols on Tour 08!!!!

This was by far one of the most awesome experiences I've gotten to share with my boys. We rocked the concert with the Crawfords and the Greens. I cannot give enough praise for the talent. I sprayed Quinn and Hayden's hair red. They jammed to the music. I think I have some future rock stars!

And the winner- David Cook!!!

HE WAS AWESOME!! What a performer! Picks were flying through the audience. Wish I had not been in the upper section.

Runners Up....

The contestants in action.

Idols Doin' Their Thing

The Grand Finale- they rocked it! It was definitely the best part.

Roller Disco!

The boys and I had a blast at our church's skating party. I CANNOT believe how well my boys could skate. Quinn refused to skate with me and lapped us many times. Hayden liked to keep me close, but could roll right along with the big guys.

Wow- now that's not hot!

This is what I would have looked like in my senior pic if I had graduated 7 years earlier.....scary. I did have the ratted wings, and yea, that is pretty much what I remember. This is too funny. My friend Susan turned me onto it. Be sure to check hers and Donald's out on her blog.

Spider Man vs. Venom

Quinn and Hayden put on a show for Laci the other night- theme music and all! There is something about the music that really puts them into character (method acting). This duel was not as graphic as the one we previously caught on video.

A Girl and her Shoes

It's never a good idea to try to take a girl's shoes away!

Summer Fun at Miss. Laurie's

Our last pool party of the summer- We are sad to see summer go, but we had fun celebrating it's "coming to an end".

It's Showtime!

Quinn and Hayden have been practicing/performing their puppet show routine for us. Together with Nini (aka Megan Freymuth), they constructed this fine stage and puppets for a world class show.

Welcome Sweet Baby Taylor!

Sandy (mama-in-law) and I went and met the newest addition to our family- Baby Taylor Ann was born on August 2nd to our cousins Tim and Tami. She is absolutely beautiful! We are so glad to welcome her to our family!!

Hermit Crabs!

The boys talked me into going to Petsmart to look for pet turtles (and snails). Fortunately, they do not sell turtles. On the other hand, they had hermit crabs. Hayden immediately fell in love with the "Batman" crab and Quinn chose the "Fire" crab in which he named Jake. I just love the care and attention they've been giving them. Quinn has carried them everywhere he's gone (with the exception of church, in which he said they went to their own church). Enjoy boys!

Happy 10th Anniversary to us!!

Travis and I celebrated our 10th anniversary today! Aside from Travis being sick, we had a nice dinner and a trip to the mall. Travis bought me the most beautiful diamond ring for my right hand. I'm so proud of my bling! Thanks to him for a very wonderful 10 years of marrage. Luv you babe!

The way it goes!

We went to Leah's wedding and I thought I would have my mom take a picture of us all dressed up.....but I was too late. Trav changed, but I think we still look good together- and yes, it's an alien t-shirt.

Oh girls, they want to have fun!

This may be our last "Girls' Day" for the summer. It is always a treat to have adult conversations and shopping. Thanks, Donald, for taking our pic. Next time, remind me to reapply the lipstick. Luv ya beautiful girls!

"You Rock".....twice!!!

Quinn has been practicing his Guitar Hero game on the Wii. We've notice both boys getting better and better. Tonight he came running to tell me that he "Rocked" the song "I Want To Rock and Roll All Night". I ran to the TV and witnessed this to be true. He then followed that victory by Rocking "Hit Me With Your Best Shot". I am so proud of my little game playing Rock star! Go Quinn!!! Mommy's proud of you!

Nighties for the Bride!

Pictures from Leah's shower- She got the funniest Honeymoon kit, featured above. Best wishes to the bride!!!!!!

Thank You Mail Man!

The boys were excited that the mailman brought them both packages today. FYI- I did not let him take all the credit!

They were so happy that their backpacks for school arrived. These backpacks will need to last a very, very long time. I ordered them from Pottery Barn Kids. Ouch on the checkbook!

The Game of War

I taught the boys how to play my favorite child-hood card game, "War". They received a deck of "Cars" cards for their birthday one year, and thought it was about time they learned how to play. Didn't take em long to catch on!

Rock On Rock Stars

Today I was getting ready in my room when I heard my two "rockstars" performing at their latest gig. Quinn was playing lead guitar and Hayden was following with the plastic clarinet. Both would jam out for a while and then Quinn would thank the crowd multiple times and follow with this statement: "Now remember, I'm Jake, and he's Ethan, and we thank you guys for coming out tonight!" Then they would continue the jam session. I think it may be the start of something!!!

Luau on the 4th of July

Have you ever seen such a large collage? I did not want to leave out any of the pictures I took at Missy and Skeeter's 4th of July Luau. We had a great time swimming and setting off the "country-style" fireworks. Our friends, the Martins, came out to the country to enjoy legal firework setting. Poor Bill, though, was pushed into the pool with his all of his clothes on (he wore jeans....ouch!). When the night hit, the kids enjoyed sparklers and setting off fireworks in Papaw's field. This year, we managed not to set our neighbors Pompas grass on fire! As much as I dislike my camera, it does have a stellar night vision. Most of these were taken in complete darkness. Pretty cool!

Firework Extravaganza

Last night, 18 of our family and close friends parked at the top of our new lot and watched the Canyon West Fireworks Extravaganza. The view was AWESOME! Maybe next year there will be an actual house (and driveway) to visit. We had quite an eventful night....

#1- I got our truck stuck on the incline. Yes, I'm well aware you

approach a steep grade at an angle. Ironically I told the boys

that same instruction on their 4-wheelers in the back yard. However, I was

trying to follow tracks that obviously did not belong to a truck

(obviously)! Luckily my brother-in-law had a bungy rope and

with all the men's help...we became unstuck- with minimal damage!

#2- Our new neighbors put on a show of self importance. You just had

to be there to fully understand!

#3- As we were leaving, the gates to exit would not open. We were stuck

waiting until our "important neighbor" came to open the gates.

#4- We got to sit in line on the access road out of the gates for quite a

while waiting on the firework traffic.

#5- We ended the night with some Guitar Hero at Bryan and Laci's.

My boys are quite good at the guitar......my future rock stars!

All in all, an outstanding night. Now we have at least 4 things to laugh about tonight at Missy's 4th of July party!

Cupcakes for Breakfast!

Quinn and Hayden were so excited that we had the ingredients for cupcakes. They were even more excited I agreed that they could make them for breakfast. Why not? You're only a kid once! Notice the 1st and 10th picture in the collage. It went from "Yuck!! Eggs" to "We must concentrate". I love how pictures grasp the mood. They did all the work themselves, minus the oven work. Nice job gentlemen!

A Good Way to Waste a Little Time

I've been using any of my spare time to look up people that Travis and I know on FaceBook. It is actually fun typing in people to see if they come up. And if they don't, to see what other people look like that share their name! Travis and I find great humor in that! The odd thing is the people that want to become my friend, and I have NO idea who they are! I choose the "Ignore" sign on those:)- funny stuff.

Team Ninjas: T-Ball Trophies!

We had our t-ball trophy presentation and swim party Sunday night. The kids loved the "big" public pool and had a great time swimming with thier teammates. Afterward, they had hotdogs, cupcakes, and prizes!! Coach Ali always gives the kids the best prizes! I think aside from the trophies, the screaming rocket balloons were the fave!

Check out the new wheels!

Our sweet friends Mikayla and Matthew gave us their truck and 4-wheeler that they had outgrown. We were so excited! Thanks guys for the great wheels!

Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys!

Ga Ga and Pappy took the kids to the Parker County Rodeo on Friday night. Quinn and Hayden got all "cowboyed-up" for the show!
Booty shots!!!
