What else do you need for a good time? The House of Blues (AWESOME!), a Mavs playoff game (Rollercoaster), and the way to end the night, the Mav's Maniacs (a great way to get happy after defeat). The definition of a good time!
Capturing the moments that make Life Sweet
After the storm last night, I grabbed my camera and got busy. I was running around our street snapping shots (all shown below) in the rain with my camera like a nerd. Most of our neighbors had me come snap shots of their houses and mounds of hail. It made me feel like a storm tracker...except after the storm. After the sun went down, I was left wet, cold, and eager to blog. Just call me Rebecca Miller! I'd like to dedicate this post to Susan who said it would not be nerdy but funny. At least I can laugh about the clean-up tomorrow... instead of cry.
No that's not snow...it is the most hail I've ever seen! Be sure to click on the pics to see up close. They are amazing!!!!
My poor flower beds, not to mention my trees at the entry. They look like someone with a chainsaw has gotten a hold of them.
This was my Dwarf Magnolia tree. It had some really pretty buds andblooms. Not anymore!!!
Bad lighting, but you could not tell where the lawns ended and driveways began. All the leaves are now on the pavement!
This is our front porch looking out of the door. You can't tell but the base of these flower pots are covered by water and hail. You can't see our steps at all!
This stump is about knee high, and you can see how much is covered.
This is one of the hailstones from outside our door. This is a nickel, but some were much larger!
Our neighbor Jim and Donna asked me to take this picture to show the mound of hail that had been blown on thier porch. Some mounds looked waist high.
Hard to tell, but the bottom 2 panes were busted out of our upstairs window; glad we have double pane!!!!
