Quinn and Hayden were so excited that we had the ingredients for cupcakes. They were even more excited I agreed that they could make them for breakfast. Why not? You're only a kid once! Notice the 1st and 10th picture in the collage. It went from "Yuck!! Eggs" to "We must concentrate". I love how pictures grasp the mood. They did all the work themselves, minus the oven work. Nice job gentlemen!

A Good Way to Waste a Little Time
I've been using any of my spare time to look up people that Travis and I know on FaceBook. It is actually fun typing in people to see if they come up. And if they don't, to see what other people look like that share their name! Travis and I find great humor in that! The odd thing is the people that want to become my friend, and I have NO idea who they are! I choose the "Ignore" sign on those:)- funny stuff.

Team Ninjas: T-Ball Trophies!
We had our t-ball trophy presentation and swim party Sunday night. The kids loved the "big" public pool and had a great time swimming with thier teammates. Afterward, they had hotdogs, cupcakes, and prizes!! Coach Ali always gives the kids the best prizes! I think aside from the trophies, the screaming rocket balloons were the fave!

Check out the new wheels!
Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys!
When the kids are away, the parents play!
Trav and I went to eat at the Fire Oak Grill with our good friends Suz (Susan) and Donald. The place was lit by candlelight and was quite fancy. We had such a good time catching up on the adult world- their kids were with grandparents too! The food was good, the company was great, and dinner without kids....priceless! We do need to teach Donald some ettiquete when it comes to complementing the owner! (lol)!!!

The Biggest Fan(s)
Hayden and his Mavs"tater heads"
Quinn just had to get in on the action once the camera was involved.
This morning I was cleaning up our room (incredibly messy since we got back in town) and Hayden came in and asked me to help him put his "Mavs Playoffs Headband" on. He had changed out of his pajama shirt and had put on his YMCA uniform. I helped him out and he scurried off into the living room. When I came into the room several minutes later, he was quietly sitting in the floor building his Mavs tater heads and singing an original song about his favorite b-ball team. He was so cute and in such concentration. I secretly grabbed the camera and snapped away. Once Quinn saw this "mamaratzi" he wanted to participate. FYI- Hayden does not need to know that the Celtics won the championship. He still thinks the Mavs are the "winners".

Dog-gone Fun!
The boys (and girls) decided to play in the sprinklers Saturday night. It was so much fun to watch. Quinn and Katy had fun "biting" the water while Hayden tried to karate chop the water as it sprayed. Pretty humorous! I even set my camera to video mode and tried to upload the video to blogger. After 2 hours of "processing" I gave up on the video clip. The pictures will just have to do!

Disney 2008
This year, we conquered Disney World and Universal Studios Orlando! We had a blast- Florida is beautiful! The landscaping was breathtaking! Quinn and Hayden made the transformation from kiddie rides to the large coasters. I can't believe my boys are growing up. The past 2 years, their favorite ride was Buzz Lightyear. This year, it was the fast moving, large scale rides that won their attention. They were just bummed that they were not yet tall enough to ride the coasters that went upside down. Maybe the next time! I took 150 pictures and I added many of them to my blog- so be sure to check all the posts in my blog! I don't want you to miss a thing!
Quinn's Picks
Quinn's favorites were on the large-scale. At 45 inches, Quinn could ride just about anything. He enjoyed the Mission Space (with G-force that made many grown-ups dizzy), Spider Man 3 D Thrill Ride, Everest, Dudley Dooright Log Ride and Jurassic Park (water rides), and Tower of Terror. Yes, he chose them all! He said he really liked Mission Space because "it was like taking off in a rocket ship". Travis took him on the ride. If it had been me, I would have not attemped it. People have actually died because of the intensity. And to think it was my 5 year-old's favorite!
Hayden's Picks
Hayden's favs were Spider Man 3-D Thrill Ride, E.T (too cool- you rode on bikes through the air in the forest- great effects!), Star Wars, and the Thunder Mountain Railroad Roller Coaster. We were so proud that Bubba measured in at 40 inches- just tall enough to ride many of the coasters! He rode the Tower of Terror, but said it was "too dark in there" for him!
Mom and Dad's Favorite Picks
Magic Kingdom
The Magic Kingdom is..well..magical! They had the most beautiful fireworks ever! One of my favorite attractions was seeing all the different colors of the castle. I tried to get a shot of the "stars" but as you can see, it is not the best shot. We got one shot with the "cow characters" in which we have no idea who they are. But, they were cute! We loved watching the boys in all the 3-D shows there. Hayden punched and kicked at all the effects in the shows. It was too funny.
Epcot
We made Epcot our last stop on the Disney tour. They had it set up pretty smart. They had all the major characters such as Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, etc in one building all day long. You stood in line like for a ride to go through and have your picture taken with them all. That is a lot easier that trying to track them down. However, after standing in line for 5 minutes, both boys wanted to leave and go ride "roller coasters". Luckily, we have pictures with all the characters from last year at Disney Land. It is funny how they change their priorities the older they get!
Hollywood Studios- formerly known as MGM
Hollywood Studios was my favorite Disney park. Maybe it is because of the Rockin' Roller coaster (Aerosmith's coaster)! The Star Wars attractions were great. Quinn laid down on the George Lucas feet and hand prints. He thinks that he is cool. The boys got to sit on a speedster from the movie and came close to being in the Jedi Training Show. They did get to fight each other and a digital Darth Vader. One of the workers teased and said she would let them in the show for my wedding ring (in which she commented on being pretty). They got restless and did not want to wait for the show, so we moved on. What great photos those would have been. The photographer there took pictures of them fighting Vader so as soon as I can download them from the Disney Internet Photos site, I'll add them to my blog.
Animal Kingdom
We had the best experience on the safari in Animal Kingdom. The animals were coming up so close to the jeep. The giraffes and ostriches were actually in road and we had to wait to cross. We saw the cutest Nemo musical, and rode one of the best roller coasters (Mt. Everest). I just had to add the picture of the Jungle Book characters. GaGa (Sandy) had taken the last picture and left her finger print on the lens. We stood in a pretty long line to get a shot of the characters and after it was too late, we noticed the smudge. We all had a pretty good laugh about it. It was such a "GaGa" thing to do.
Universal Studios
Universal is definately one of our all time favorite theme parks. We had been to the one in Hollywood, but the Orlando park has it beat! The Spider Man ride was great! Trav and I conquered "The Hulk" 2 times- both times I left the ride in pain. It shot you out at top speed, flipped, turned, flipped again, and had no sympathy on the brain. Painful, but thrilling. I love the characters that they had running around. We saw Shaggy and Scooby, Woody Woodpecker and the gang, and many others. We did not score the Marvel characters like we did in Hollywood, but none the less were pleased!
Marveling at all that Marvel
The coolest thing about Universal Studios is that it is centered around a Marvel Comic theme. For those who know the boys, and I mean all 3, Marvel is an obsession. We attacked the Spider Man Ride 3 times at the request of both boys. It was an awesome 3-D thrill ride that rocked! The boys were in heaven. One of Quinn's favorite characters is Wolverine from X-Men. You may not be able to tell, but Quinn was sporting a t-shirt that had Woverine in the exact pose as the large cut-out in the picture. He was so proud.

Chasing Turkeys- In the city!
Where's Turkey? Look closely and you can see the turkey running from the paparrazi on our neighbor's porch.
When we got closer, he took flight to the roof top. We've had deer, snakes, and birds take shelter in our neighborhood. But a wild turkey? That is a first. I'm glad I was home to see it!
Coming home from Target this morning, I noticed what looked like a large bird statue on my neighbor's porch. I watched for a moment and it moved! I called for our other neighbor and they said it was a wild turkey and that it had been on their back patio. I ran to get my camera. What a blogging oportunity!
